Most women purchase shoes that portray some fashion trend, give lift, are all the rage in style, or some other reason due to the pressures of society. One reason we seem to ignore is if the shoes are good for our feet, offer the arch support and comfort our feet cry out for or have enough room in the toe box so our toes do not become distorted, inflamed or ripe for disaster. When it comes to shoes that are bad for our feet, women's shoes rank at the top.
Podiatrists and foot care specialists line up to offer reason after reason why women should not wear high heels. And stilettos, the ones with the skyscraper heels, are the worst. Yet, they help make women's legs look sexy, they allow women to look like the cover girl on Vogue and wearing them lessen that all powerful peer pressure.
High heel can cause many problems. Lack of support causes the foot to over-pronate, that is, roll inwardly as we walk putting extra stress on the foot arch, ankles, knees, hips, and back. The Achilles tendon becomes lax as it is not allowed to stretch as it would with a normal stride. The balls of the feet are stressed due to the pressure and the toes are cramped. All of these present a sundry of problems. Over-pronation by itself can bring on heel spurs, foot arch pain, heel pain and plantars fasciitis. Excessive pressure on the balls of the feet ripens the area for severe pain from metatarsalgia, morton's neuroma and tarsal tunnel syndrome. The cramped toes make them highly susceptible for hammer toes, ingrown toenails, bunions, claw toes and various other painful conditions.
The best advice to care for women's feet is to avoid high heels, change shoes frequently, being sure the shoes fit properly and have enough room in them so the feet are comfortable and not restricted; especially the toes. But we all know, that just is not going to happen. Women are going to wear high heels, foot health concerns or not. Women will still pressured to wear shoes that are tight, restrictive and offer zero arch support and cushioning. What else can they do? They have to look sexy, don't they?
Well, ladies, lucky for you help is available. Superfeet Premium Insoles just so happens to make an arch support specifically for high heels. The EZ Fit High Heels Arch Support Insoles. These fine quality orthotics use the same biomechanical shape and deep heel cup as is designed and used in the other Superfeet Premium Insoles, but the High Heel Arch Supports are specially designed to fit comfortably in tighter fitting dress, casual, sporting or high heel shoes.
The Superfeet EZ Fit Arch Supports are 3/4 length to allow plenty of toe room and they help to evenly distribute the weight as you stand or walk which reduces over-pronation and allows the heel fat pad to naturally cushion impact. No longer is the weight completely resting on the ball of the foot. This adds stability, reduces blisters and lessens the strain on the ankles, knees, hips, back and of course, the feet.
So stop tempting fate. Try the Superfeet EZ Fit High Heel Arch Supports and feel the difference. Stand and walk comfortably while looking sexy and in style.
